Editing a page using the Wiki Markup Language instead of Rich Text
The Confluence Wiki software has a "Wiki Markup Language".
This language provides a fuller set of editing options than the Rich Text word processing.
The Wiki Markup language is easy to use. We recommend that you experiment with it by hitting the Wiki Markup tab when you are in page editing mode. On the right side of your content a Help Tips section wil be visible, that has wiki markup notation help and a link to the full notation guide.
From Confluence version 3.x upwards it became less important to remember the exact wiki markup language, as there is a button: 'browse macros' that will do the trick for you. This new button is available both within the rich-text editor and also when using the wiki markup language.
This button will present you with all installed macros and plugins. It will assist you with all parameters and gives you the oportunity to do a preview before saving the data.
With this feature we hope more people will use more features of our software.
